"One of our core messages is 'Per Dolorem Ego Prospero,' which translates directly to 'In Pain I Prosper.' This phrase is deeply personal to me, symbolized by a tattoo I bear—barbed wire wrapped around my right arm. To me, it serves as a reminder of Christ, who wore a crown of thorns and endured immense suffering, yet rose above it all. From the moment we are born, we are introduced to pain, but through it, we continue to live. This concept mirrors our everyday struggles, whether physical or emotional—we endure, we press on. A verse that reflects this idea is Ecclesiastes 7:3: 'Sorrow is better than laughter, for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.' This verse reminds us that through the trials and sorrows of life, our character is refined and strengthened, like how diamonds need pressure to be created. The weight of sadness can bring about personal growth and wisdom, teaching us resilience in the face of adversity. This thought aligns perfectly with the message of Sadwire. The name itself speaks on two defining elements: Sadness, the raw emotion that connects us all, and Wire, the universal bond that links us together. Sadwire represents a world united through sorrow, and through that sorrow, we persist, we endure, and we live on." -Hensoncuyler R.
